Day #186 - Sparrow Lake

Left @ 8:45ish. Talked with Chet and Cindy before taking off. Scot used their internet and I gave them a tour of our boat. Cindy presented me with a beautiful ring that she made...what a sweetheart...and so lucky that we ran into them. We arrived @ the next Lock # 41 Gamebridge and was told that we didn't have to pay for our mooring on Lock #40 wall because the water was shut off in the restrooms....that was another miracle. Lake Simcoe was the next large body of water to cross. Winds were NW @ 10 kts with a small chop. Sunny, but cool and the knats invaded us along the way. They don't bite but they just hang around and land everywhere on your boat.  We anchored in "Deep Bay" off Sparrow Lake. It was very shallow getting into the area, but was much deeper and beautiful once we got in. Shut off engine about 3:45pm. Cruised 38 miles today.
