Day #198 - Government Bay, near Cedarville, MI
Left in the fog at 8:30am and Nancy was on the lower deck looking for other boaters. About 30 minutes before anchoring here, "Marine Warning" came across the radio.... " All vessels seek safe harbor". Of course, we had to push the engine a little to at least get into the bay. Skies got very dark and hurried across Lake Huron. It really was a "white knuckle" ride for the last 20 minutes. About noonish, as soon as we got into the channel of Goverment Bay, we dropped anchor, waited it out and made lunch. About 2 hours later, we cruised up the bay and anchored in the big bay. No one else is here. Lovely.
A bat flew aboard and rode with us to this anchorage. There's lots of bugs to eat around here.
