Day #13 ...Still on the Mississippi

Wow, what a day! We traveled over 110 miles today...phew. We had speeds up to 12.5 knots following the current. Of course it was still a little bit rainy all the way, but finally the sun came out when we anchored at  our destination, Little Diversion Channel, near Cape Girardeau, MO. One green little sailboat that was also anchored by us, played "Amazing Grace" at sunset on his bagpipes. Truly, that was a very nice welcoming and a miracle in disguise. I really appreciated that after a long day on the river. Another day on the Mississippi, but heading up the Ohio River to Kentucky Lake.

  1. Wow, you guys were flying today. That must have made up some lost time. Amazing Grace on bagpipes at sunset sounds like a dream. What an experience. Love to you and Scot. xxoo
