Day #163 - West Point

Well we got back to the boat around 10:30 am and it was not really raining at that time. We were saying goodbye to John G. and Scot ran into a neighbor of ours from Port Sheldon, Bill H. What a small world! He has a trawler docked at the NY Municipal Marina-79th Street Basin. It was nice to see Bill and Ann, familiar faces in the crowd. We took off from the dock @ 1:00pm in the pouring rain. We were excited to get in the current and picked up speed. We arrived @ West Point around 7:00pm with no dockage available and no harbormaster to talk to either after calling him all day. Anyway, we found a beautiful anchorage,  on the Hudson River,  a couple miles north and slept so good after a long day of rain and fog. It was beautiful scenery, but hard to enjoy with all the fog and low clouds.
