Left our favorite spot @ Phoenix, NY around 7:30 am by the time that they got the Lock #1 open. What a beautiful sunny and warm morning to be cruising down the Oswego River Canal with our pass in hand. Got through Locks #1-3, and #5 and #6, there is no #4. After Lock #6, we had to wait for about an 1 1/2 for Lock #7 who was locking through barges. Our old friend, "Margot" the tug, let us lock with them through # 7 & #8. That was really nice of them, otherwise we would have waited another 1/2 hr or more to travel through the last two with four other boats.
We ended up tying up on a "squeeky" floating dock. Decided to go across to tie up on the other side of the river, but there was no room. Then we decided to tie up to the cement wall where we were before. It's more quieter here.
Hoping to cross Lake Ontario tomorrow. If you do not see or hear from us it's because we're in Canada.
